Saltwater Crocodile at Toledo Zoo

The Toledo Zoo recently acquired a 17 foot long Saltwater Crocodile from Australia.  A realistic enclosure needed to be built, so they asked us to sculpt and color all of the concrete in the exhibit to resemble a realistic Australian river bank.  After that, the zoo really wanted a crocodile that the public could actually touch.  So we made a realistic sculpture to the same size specifications as the real newly acquired crocodile that is currently the largest in the U.S.  Every scale and wrinkle was individually sculpted by hand, and made to withstand daily public interaction AND mother nature.  Needless to say, he has been quite a hit at the zoo.  So much so that we have now made him a traveling exhibit so he can reach potential zoo visitors around the city and even around the country!
