About the Project
During the total renovation of the Magee Marsh Visitor Center in 2022, Graphite Design + Build worked with Ohio Department of Natural Resources and local architects and construction companies to re-design the interior of the building. The design includes dioramas, maps, interactive elements, and educational signage that highlight the past, present, and future of northwest Ohio’s wetlands.
The Rookery Tree diorama features a sculpted hackberry tree that stands 24 feet tall and includes a sculpted water/island base, nests, taxidermy birds, and sculpted wildlife.
Special thanks to Anthony Tscherne for providing photos of the project.
